Walking with the Church Through Time
In this learning series, we walk with the Church through its long and complex story—listening carefully to how ordinary Christians have lived faithfully across centuries marked by uncertainty, disagreement, courage, and failure.
As we move through seasons of persecution and influence, division and reform, loss and renewal, we begin to recognize patterns that shape the Church’s life. These stories help us see more clearly how God has remained at work—and how our own moment fits within that larger journey.
A Shared Foundation
This work doesn’t begin from scratch.
Church History builds on the practices formed in Reading the Bible Again for the First Time—slow engagement, attention to context, and trust that God is at work across time.
Rather than offering a simplified story, this series stays with the Church as it has actually lived—marked by faithfulness and failure, courage and compromise—reminding us that God’s faithfulness has never depended on the Church getting everything right.
