Dr. Wayne Brouwer
Dr. Wayne Brouwer serves on the staff of the Church Leadership Center (CLC), where he helps guide leaders and learning communities in exploring the story of Scripture and the life of faith. He is also Professor of Religion at Hope College and teaches theology and ministry at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan.
Ordained in the Christian Reformed Church, Wayne has served congregations in Canada and the United States and has taught internationally, including missionary work in Nigeria. His ministry and teaching consistently draw people into a deeper understanding of God’s Word and a more vibrant practice of community life.
Wayne is the author of more than a dozen books and numerous articles on preaching, biblical interpretation, and Christian leadership. His recent work, Covenant Documents: Reading the Bible Again for the First Time , provides the foundation for the CLC learning series.
He earned his Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from McMaster University and holds additional graduate degrees in theology and ministry. Wayne and his wife, Brenda, live near Lake Michigan and enjoy travel, family, and time with their three daughters and grandchildren.
