Reading the Bible Again for the First Time is a 16-session journey through the Old and New Testaments, taught by Dr. Wayne Brouwer. Together, participants rediscover Scripture as the unfolding story of a loving Father calling his children home.
Many people have read the Bible for years but have never been helped to see how it all fits together. This series steps back from isolated verses to explore the larger biblical story—alive, connected, and still shaping how we worship, serve, lead, and live today.

The Experience

Why It Matters
How we read Scripture shapes how we understand God, ourselves, one another, and the world. When the Bible is reduced to isolated verses or familiar fragments, we can miss the larger story that gives those words their meaning.
A story that forms us
Scripture is more than information to master. It is the living story through which God draws us into covenant, reshapes our imagination, and forms a people who can recognize and join God’s work in the world.
