The Testimony

Christian faith is not a collection of disconnected ideas. It is one testimony about who God is, what God has done in Jesus Christ, and the hope toward which God is leading creation.

Learning to recount the story we live by

Recounting Our Core Testimony gathers the central convictions Christians have carried across generations—who God is, who Jesus Christ is and what he has done, how the Spirit forms the Church, and the hope of new creation.

Across six sessions, participants explore how these convictions belong together and why they matter for the way we understand ourselves, live together, bear witness, and participate in God’s work in the world.

Series Three brings the journey together. It builds on the biblical story explored in Series One and the Church’s story traced in Series Two.

The Convictions

Six sessions explore the convictions at the heart of Christian faith—not simply to memorize them, but to understand how they shape a faithful life together.

Each session attends to one part of the Christian testimony while keeping the whole in view. Participants learn to connect belief, worship, community, witness, and hope.

  1. Faith, Scripture & Worldview

    How faith shapes the way we see reality—and how Scripture forms a distinctly Christian understanding of God, ourselves, and the world.

  2. The God We Confess

    Why Christians speak of the one God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and why the Trinity stands at the heart of Christian faith.

  3. Jesus Christ & Salvation

    Who Jesus is, what his life, death, and resurrection reveal about God, and how Christians understand the salvation he brings.

  4. The Spirit Forms a People

    How the Holy Spirit makes the work of Jesus present among us and forms the Church as the living Body of Christ.

  5. Witness & Mission

    How Christian faith becomes visible through the way we live, speak, serve, and participate in God’s ongoing work.

  6. The Hope of New Creation

    Why Christians look toward the return of Jesus, the resurrection of the dead, divine judgment, and God’s promise to make all things new.

Why It Matters

These convictions shape more than what Christians think. They form the way we worship, live together, bear witness, and hope.

Theology at its best helps the Church live more faithfully. This series gives participants language for the faith they have received and invites them to consider how that testimony becomes visible in a shared life with God and one another.
