Details for the CLC Old Testament Study with Dr. Wayne Brouwer

We are excited to announce that this transformative study is anticipated to begin in January 2025! Our group of participants spans the globe, so we’re working to select times and dates that best suit the majority. Before finalizing these details, we need to confirm who will be part of this unique teaching series.

What to Expect and How to Prepare

To ensure a meaningful experience, participants should meet the following expectations:

1. Commit to Reading the Scriptures: Prepare for each session by reading portions or all of the biblical books to be discussed.
2. Partner with a Spiritual Friend: Identify a mature Christian friend or a spiritual leader within your faith community to support you throughout the study by - offering prayer and encouragement and engaging in meaningful weekly conversations to help you reflect on what you’re learning and how it applies to your ministry and life.
3. Complete Writing Assignments: Light “homework” assignments will be thoughtfully crafted and guided by Dr. Brouwer.
4. Explore Covenant Documents: Purchase and read relevant chapters from Covenant Documents: Reading the Bible Again for the First Time (3rd Edition, Cognella, 2024) by Dr. Wayne Brouwer.
5. Cost: $300.00 if you wish to apply this towards seminar credit with our partner, Western Theological Seminary. For informal participation, the cost is limited to the price of the Covenant Documents textbook; however, all other participation expectations listed still apply.
