Church Now Cafe is a highly interactive, conversation-driven gathering of church leaders across North America. We will focus on hearing the wisdom of Dr. Andrew Root (Congregations in a Secular Age, The Church After Innovation) and then gather for small conversation tables. At these tables, we will add insight, understanding, and questions to this conversation as we move into the coming year of ministry.

The theme for Church Now Cafe 2023 is “Hidden Paths.”

Many congregations continue down the same path year after. However, this path is pushing us beyond our limits. The call to innovate and to move faster, combined with a decline in people volunteering and fewer resources, leaves pastors, leaders, and congregations exhausted. We find new ways to run faster, jump higher, and do more — and we end up even more exhausted. In this, we can only imagine following the path we are already on.

Imagine there are other paths to follow - paths that we can learn from one another and from a trail guide who helps us uncover hidden paths that lead to life for our congregations.
