Reading the Bible Again for the First Time

Words of Hope Friends:

You’re here because you were invited. This learning journey is one way we’re seeking to invest in you—our partners—by offering the same formative experience that has shaped Words of Hope staff and ministry leaders around the world, rooted in our shared commitment to helping people engage Scripture deeply and faithfully.
“I must confess, I would miss anything but not Dr. Wayne’s sessions… I found myself wanting every Words of Hope staff member to go through it.”
Rev. Godfrey Kyome

About the Journey

This 16-session journey through the Old and New Testaments is taught by Dr. Wayne Brouwer in partnership with the Church Leadership Center.

Together, participants learn to rengage the Bible as one unfolding story—a loving Father calling His children home—and to carry that story into everyday faith and witness, the same movement from Scripture to life that has shaped Words of Hope’s work across cultures and generations.

“I began to re-read the Bible with a big-picture understanding. My passion for Scripture, mission, and purpose was rekindled.”

WHAT PARTICIPANTS EXPERIENCE

Rather than adding more information, participants describe this journey as changing how they read Scripture—giving them new lenses, a clearer big picture, and a deeper sense of connection between faith and daily life.

Participants consistently describe how this journey reshapes not just what they know, but how they read Scripture:

"I realized I had a shallow understanding of a book I’ve loved all my life."
WOH Participant
“I can now read the Bible with the big picture—intentionally and intimately.”
WOH Participant
“Reading the Bible as a covenant document finally made sense.”
