They ask questions, challenge assumptions, offer fresh perspectives, share resources, make requests (including assigning learning activities), and advise related to the degree to which learning goals are being accomplished.

In 1974 graduated with my M.Div. from both RCA seminaries in a joint venture called the Bi-Level-Multi-Site Program. In 1990, I got my D.Min. from Princeton Theological Seminary. I served churches in Lombard, Ill., Kalamazoo, Mi., and Somerville, N.J. In 1998, joined the faculty at New Brunswick Theological Seminary as the Director of Supervised Ministry. I retired in 2008, and am presently a Professor of Practical Theology Emeritus with the Reformed Church in America.
